Built on Engineering. Driven by Results.
Synkronos Energy Solutions was founded on a straightforward idea: the best energy advice comes from someone who has actually worked inside complex energy systems — not someone who learned about them in a sales training.
Meet Jason Barnette.
Before founding Synkronos, Jason Barnette spent his career inside some of the most technically demanding energy environments in the country. He managed operations and maintenance for a 50-megawatt solar farm in Louisiana. He served as a Systems Integration and Test Engineer for Textron Marine and Land Systems, supporting the U.S. Navy's Ship to Shore Connector program — an environment where documentation, precision, and safety are non-negotiable. And at Brookfield Renewable in upstate New York, he managed complex hydroelectric infrastructure projects, including a 4.6-kilovolt generator restoration after a fire and a transmission tower replacement that delivered over $150,000 in savings.
That background — spanning solar, hydro, naval systems, and high-voltage electrical — is what makes Synkronos different. When Jason walks into a building, he's not reading from a checklist. He's applying the same engineering rigor he used on critical infrastructure to help homes, businesses, and municipalities use energy smarter.
Independent. Engineering-First. No Sales Agenda.
Synkronos doesn't sell equipment, receive contractor referral fees, or represent any product line. Every engagement starts with real data — utility bills, building systems, load profiles — and ends with clear, prioritized recommendations you can act on with confidence.
We follow BPI and ASHRAE best practices because they reflect how buildings actually work, not how they're sold. And because Synkronos operates as a founder-led practice with a trusted bench of partners, every project gets senior-level attention from start to finish.
Why This Work Matters To Him.
Jason grew up with a deep connection to the outdoors — fly fishing, hunting, hiking, rock climbing, and biking are part of how he lives, not just how he spends weekends. That connection is part of why energy efficiency isn't just a professional interest. Reducing waste and improving how we use resources matters to him personally.
He lives in Saratoga Springs, New York, with his wife and their daughter, whom he's actively introducing to both science and the outdoors. When you work with Synkronos, you're working with someone who has real stakes in the places and communities his clients call home.
